Falcon Video Founder Documentary In The Works – Seed Money: The Chuck Holmes Story – Trailer

The upcoming documentary, Seed Money: The Chuck Holmes Story shines a spotlight on one of the most unlikely and overlooked gay heros of the past 40 years Chuck Holmes

Holmes was the 1970′s gay porn’s version of Hugh Hefner, a charmer, an unrivaled businessman, and a man with a taste for the finest things,

Chuck Holmes founded Falcon studios (Video Pak Number…..) and wanted to give back to the gay community that made him rich, only to find that while his money was welcome, but that he was not because of Falcon Studios

Chuck gave millions to organizations like the HRC, the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund, and to politicians like Barney Frank and Bill Clinton, to the AIDS Memorial Grove. But despite the money and the philanthropy, Chuck never quite fit in himself. Though he was a prodigious philanthropist, he always feared that his ‘dirty money’ as some called it would be returned. Sometimes it was. But in most cases it was accepted, quietly.

Currently Michael Stabile the documentary’s writer and director is in the final stages of getting the documentary ready for a 2013 release. The independent documentary has been funded by individuals through Kickstarter and other fundraising venues.

Perhaps the Human Rights Campaign should think about helping this project especially since if it wasn’t for Chuck Colson’s backing in its beginning HRC wouldn’t be around to be throwing the gala cocktail parties it does today.

2 Wounded As First Kyiv, Ukraine Pride Parade Cancelled After Threats From The Ultra Right

Two Ukranian LGBT activists were beaten up and tear gassed by a dozen youths in central after the first ever Kyiv, Ukraine Pride Parade was abruptly cancelled just 30 minutes vefore its start time today after Ukranian Police advised pride organizers that 500 ultra-right football hooligans were en route to the rally point with the intention of breaking it up and preventing the march from going ahead.

Senior Kyiv police officials had previously told pride organizers that he was not prepared to put his officers in harm’s way for the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.

“It has been clear from the start that the Kyiv police department did not want this march to go ahead. Their reluctance to commit to the event and to put adequate security measures in place to protect demonstrators left organizers fearing for their safety,” said Max Tucker, Ukraine campaigner at Amnesty International.

The Ukraine parliamentary committee is currently working on a bill that like the one recently passed in St. Petersburg, Russia would restrict the distribution of and access to information “promoting homosexuality” and would amend several laws including the law on protection of public morals, the law on print media, the law on television and radio broadcasting, the law on publishing and the Criminal Code.

If passed the bill would directly discriminate against Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual individuals in the exercise of their right to freedom of expression.

Wanda Sykes responded to both President Obama’s declaration that he now supports same sex marriage and yesterdays surprise announcement by the board of the NAACP that now tthe NAACP has come out in full support of same sex marriage.

Said Wanda:

“Yea! I’m so proud of the NAACP! I mean – this is huge! Really is huge because the NAACP – their roots are so instilled in the church. That’s where their meetings and all of that – are held – in churches. So to come out and support same sex marriage –I’m so thrilled that they have gotten past the point that it’s not about religion, it’s about rights. Marriage really doesn’t have anything to do with religion. That’s why athetists get married. It’s about all the rights that comes along with it. So I’m very proud of the NAACP right now and I think I’m going to join! Maybe I’ll up my membership now.”

Jenna Talackova Canada’s First Miss Universe Transgender Contestant Makes Top 12

Now that all the hoopla over weather Jenna Talackova could be in Canada’s Miss Universe pageant, or weather she couldn’t be Canada’s Miss Universe pageant (she could) and last night night when all was said and done despite not winning the pageant title or crown Jenna Talackova walked away a winner.

Jenna, all 6’2″ of her sashayed down the runway in a white bikini and sparkled heels, Talackova and was picked as one of the top 12 finalist but did not advance to the top five after the evening gown segment.

Originally Jenna was disqualified for not being a “naturally born female.” but she refused to back down and argued that the decision was discrimination and after much support and pressure from LGBT groups as well as Canadian citizens and supporters from around the world for Jenna the Miss Universe Organization, owned by Donald Trump, reinstated her and went one step further and changed its rules to allow transgendered women to compete in its worldwide competition.

Jenna has broken down a barrier for social inclusion in the beauty pageant,”said Susan Gapka, chair of Toronto’s Trans Lobby Group “She’s a winner in our eyes as a woman, a trans, an activist and a beauty queen.”.

Dallas Maverick’s Pro Basketball Player Dominique Jones Has Anti-Gay Facebook Meltdown (Allegedly)

Good As You is reporting that Dominique Jones a professional NBA Basketball player who plays for the the Dallas Mavericks had an extreme anti-gay meltdown on his Facebook page last week posting comments like

“They say our President is black but I can’t tell though….Another prime example of a black man turning his back on his religious views and his morals to make CERTAIN people happy…..FUCK THIS WORLD….GAY PEOPLE SHOULDN”T HAVE RIGHTS TO GET MARRIED….FUCK THE LAW. MAKE THE BIBLE YOUR HANDBOOK“

While Youtuber StopHate22 did take video captures of the Facebook posts in which he continues his anti-gay triad with the help of friends, fans, and family.

A search of Jones Facebook page now finds these comments missing

Jeremy Hooper of Good As You has emailed Jones representatives for a comment.

Video – Maryland High School Student Suspended For Cross Dressing

Warren Evans is an unique indivdual

And like many unique individuals who don’t conform, Warren is being punished for uniqeness by being suspended from Calvert High School, in southern Maryland for cross-dressing.

Warren insists he didn’t violate his school’s dress code — the code only dictates what length a student’s skirt must be, but says nothing about a skirt wearer’s gender.

Warren states that the school is discriminating against him and does not believe he violated any dress code. It didn’t say anywhere in the code of conduct or dress code that says boys can’t dress like girls,” Evans commented.

And some students and parents agree. Including Warren’s father who told reporters that, “Some people just aren’t tolerant of that type of thing”.

Calvert High School refuses to comment

YOU GO WARREN! Don’t ever let anyone define who you are. Only you can define yourself.

Oh and Warren. Please don’t run in heels anymore, it is bad for your joints and dangerous.

NAACP Announces Full Support Of Same Sex Marriage, 2 Board Members Vote Against It.

The NAACP, the “nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization,” has stepped forward to endorse same sex marriage equality through resolution after a historic board meeting this afternoon. The move comes 10 days after President Obama

The resolution states: “We support marriage equality consistent with equal protection under the law provided under the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.”

The Board at a at a leadership retreat in Miami passed the resolution endorsing same-sex marriage to oppose any efforts “to codify discrimination or hatred into the law.”

NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous, said “civil marriage is a civil right and a matter of civil law.”

All but two of the organization’s board members, (whose names have been witheld) voted against the resolution according to sources within the NAACP.

A Ukrainian reporter whose “schtick” is to kiss all his guests attempted to get some sugar from Will Smith last night on the red carpet of Men in Black 3, when things sudeenly went sour.

TMZ reports:

The Ukrainian reporter tries to kiss Will on the lips on the red carpet and the actor angrily pushes him away and then backhands him across the face. You can clearly see that Will is incredibly pissed that the guy showed overt affection toward him.

After watching the video all I really see is the guy kissing Smith on the cheeks which is a very old world custom.

Me? I would have much rather preffered to kiss Josh Brolin. But to each thier own.
